Getting started
Follow these required steps in order.
- Create your account and complete your student profile.
- Select your learning language before anything else.
- Choose a teacher for that language to unlock chat.
- You cannot book a session until you select a language and a teacher.
Choosing a language (mandatory first step)
Your language choice controls matching, scheduling, and chat.
- Language selection is required to show the correct teachers.
- It determines which schedule and group lesson slots you can see.
- It sets the context for your learning track.
Choosing a teacher (critical)
Your teacher is the center of your learning experience.
- Choose a teacher for your selected language before you can book a session.
- This sets your active teacher and starts a 30-day lock period.
- Group lessons are tied to your active teacher, so choose carefully.
Chat unlock (after teacher selection, before payment)
Chat opens once your teacher is set.
- Chat becomes available after you select a teacher.
- You can message your teacher before payment.
- Booking stays locked until you have access.
Payment & access (subscription or drop-in)
Access is checked automatically when you book.
- Booking requires access through a subscription or a drop-in session.
- If your account has trial access, it can be used for eligible group lessons.
- Payment does not change your teacher. Your booking is linked to your active teacher.
Booking lessons
Group lessons and 1:1 sessions use different booking flows.
- Group lessons use the Schedule page and your active teacher.
- 1:1 sessions use the 1:1 booking flow and separate availability.
- Eligibility checks (access, capacity, timing) happen automatically.
Lock period & continuity
The lock period protects consistency in your learning plan.
- After selecting a teacher, you are in a 30-day lock period for that language.
- The lock period is enforced by the platform and prevents frequent switching.
- During the lock period, booking and chat stay tied to your active teacher.
Switching teacher or learning track (language ↔ academic)
Switching is allowed only when the lock period ends.
- You can switch teachers after the lock period expires.
- Language and Academic tracks are exclusive. Only one can be active.
- Academic support is subject-based, with a 30-day lock period per subject.
- You can hold up to three academic subjects at a time.
- Switching updates your active teacher and your chat access.
